The Spearhead is a light fighter, described by some as a “paper-dart” spaceship.

The craft is fast and manoeuvrable, with a true fighter’s profile. As the ship is designed purely for combat, no cargo bay is included. Carrying a light shield, the designers rely on the pilot’s skill and the ships tight turning circle to keep it from coming to grief.

The ship is available to both the player and NPCs, often seen in the hands of bounty hunters or as part of a pirate fleet.

This OXP adds a series of racing rings to the Galaxy 1 systems of Lave and Zaonce, providing entertainment to Commanders visiting these planets.

Each race track contains a series of rings, which can be located with an Advanced Space Compass. Flying through the first ring sets the stop-watch running.

If the rings are flown through in order, flying through the final ring completes the circuit and the Commander’s time is transmitted to him by the Race Administrator.

The Military OXP equips with Galactic Navy with the powerful Leviathan Cruiser, supported by the Military Wolf Mark II, the Basilisk, the Hydra and the Rattle Cutter. These ships are occasionally seen in the space lanes, but are more often encountered in Witch Space fighting the Thargoid menace.

A mission is also added. Wouldn’t you know it, those careless chaps at the Military have lost the secret plans to these gruesome battleships, allowing a clan of pirates to mass-produce them. Guess who they will contact for assistance!

UPDATE : Military Fiasco will not function correctly if you have the old version of Murgh’s X-ships (from Oosat1) installed. You will need to delete the old version and install the new version of X-Ships. The new version (available here) contains: The Eel, The Chuckwalla, The Bandy Bandy Courier and The Tailpan.

The Pelamis Amphibious Cargo Craft is equally at home in space or below the waves, carrying crates to Coriolis stations, or sight-seers to some sub-aqua sensation. The Pelamis is an extrapolation of the design principles behind the phenomenon that is the Moray Star Boat.

The design is robust with a large hold and forward and aft weapon mounts. The Moray's launch tubes have been added to, giving the Pelamis unprecedented firepower with five internal missile or torpedo mounts.

Although not as nimble as some, the Pelamis shows a good turn of speed, and the classic yellow and black markings serve to warn any pirates that this can be one of the more venomous opponents to take on.

This OXP contains two ships produced by Pteradyne Technolegies, Inc, a small aerospace firm operating out of tech level 15 worlds in Galaxy 1.
Built using advanced low mass molded composites and integration technolegies, combined with small but powerful engines, PTI ships are produced in limited numbers, and thusly are quite rare.

UPDATE: Bugfix patch 1.1 fixes some plist errors.

This fighter / trader was designed by its manufactures to compete directly with the Cobra Mark III as the ship of choice for the lone wolf Commander.

In some ways the craft meets its Cobra III beating design brief and in others fails. The ship can haul a maximum of 40 tones of cargo as opposed to the Cobra Mark III’s 35 tones. It also packs 6 missiles as against the Cobra Mark III’s 4 missiles.

However, these features came at a price. In order to meet design requirements, the ship's missiles are mounted in an under-slung starboard weapons pod.

This lop-sided design makes the ship slower and more difficult to roll than the trusty Cobra Mark III. Many Commanders have also come to grief whilst attempting to dock, forgetting to allow for the under-hanging weapons pod when plotting docking approach vectors.

The Firewasp has been descried by some as basically an engine with a gun. A light interceptor, the ship is lightning fast but has no cargo capacity, a weak shield and can be a twitchy bird to fly.

Available to both the player and NPCs, the ship is often seen as part of a pirate squadron acting in a hit and run role.

This OXP adds the Space Dredger and Sabre fighter to the Ooniverse.

Space Dredgers are occasionally encountered in the space lanes, scooping up wreckage, hydrogen and space dust for later processing. Commanders choosing to dock with a Dredger can take advantage of its well equipped shipyard or the chance to trade.

Attacking a Dredger is unwise, as it is well defended by a squadron of Sabre fighters. The Dredger is not available to the player, although second hand Sabre fighters are occasionally available on the open market.
